My boyfriend Riley and I decided to spend a romantic getaway in a treehouse for our fifth year anniversary. We planned to be in a tree when we learned that five years is the wood anniversary. Just a short drive away from Austin, this wonderful place is nestled in Spicewood, Texas.
We were a little nervous when we learned that it was going to storm and freeze that night, and learning that the tree did not have a heating unit, we brought extra blankets to bundle up in. We stayed in Lofthaven, and were pleasantly surprised when we saw the beautiful bed with all of its covers, and even heated blanket! The night was very warm considering the elements were against us. Even better yet, the treehouse was connected to a private bathhouse which has a gorgeous little heated waterfall pool.
I’m so happy with our stay in the Lofthaven at Cypress Valley. I highly recommend it to anyone around Central Texas. We hope to be back soon for another stay and maybe even ziplining!
