The Messenger Amethyst

Description

Bohemian Amethyst statement necklace. A Chevron Amethyst prism was wrapped with twine, and embellished with a metal star bead, and pheasant feather. The Messenger collection was inspired by the wonderful carrier birds of the past. The pendant hangs from two hand-braided deerskin leather strands, which fringe on either side of this stone, and pulled together by a lobster clasp.

Amethyst has been worn as protection from self-deception, as well as a protection against witchcraft. The amethyst has long been used to open the spiritual and psychic centers, making it one of the power stones. It is also used as a meditation aid when worn as a necklace.
